What is Alomations and how does a listing run work?

Alomations turns one design into a finished Etsy listing in a single run. Here is what it does, what stays with Etsy, and each step from connecting your shop to publishing.

Etsy automation, from the people building it

Alomations is an Etsy print-on-demand workbench: it makes print-ready artwork, turns a design into a finished Etsy listing in one run, manages the listings you already have and fulfills orders through production partners. The listing run is the core of it: you connect your shop and build a template once, then bring a design and pick mockups, and the run writes the title, all 13 tags and the description, applies your variations and prices, and publishes the listing live or as a draft.

This page is for sellers who are new to Alomations or comparing ways to list faster. If most of your evening goes into the Etsy listing form rather than into designs, the run is the part that gives that time back. Etsy's own guide says "There are 7 tabs in the listing form you must fill out before you can publish" (Etsy's listing guide), and with sizes, colours and photos for every design, those tabs are where the hours go. The how it works page shows the same flow in brief.

What Alomations does, and what stays with Etsy

Alomations covers five jobs in one place:

  • Artwork: AI design generation from a style library of 90 looks, or your own uploads, with every design returned print-ready.

  • Listings: the listing run, plus Bulk Automate (each selected design becomes its own listing) and, on paid plans, one run to several connected shops.

  • Listings manager: every connected shop's active and draft listings in one list, with bulk edits and a score for each live listing, on every plan.

  • Orders: Etsy orders arrive with the design and variant matched, ready to send to a production partner or to print yourself.

  • Money: every credit itemised and, on paid plans, a profit view of what you kept after Etsy fees and product cost on fulfilled orders.

Alomations is not part of Etsy. It uses the official Etsy API and is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc. Your shop, your buyers and Etsy's own fees stay as they are: Etsy still charges its fees, such as the $0.20 listing fee and the 6.5% transaction fee (Etsy's fee table).

Step 1: Connect your Etsy shop

You connect through Etsy's own sign-in screen (OAuth). It takes under two minutes, and you can revoke the connection from Etsy. On the Free plan, your 40 monthly credits start once the shop is connected. Our walkthrough of connecting your Etsy shop in two minutes shows each screen.

Step 2: Build a template once

A template holds everything about the product that stays the same from design to design: the product and its Etsy category, price, sizes and colours, materials, SKUs, and your shipping, return and processing profiles. You can arrange prices across sizes, keep separate templates per shop and refresh profiles from Etsy. On paid plans, size and colour sets can be saved as variation profiles and reused in every template.

This matters for more than speed. Etsy lists a missing return policy among the things that can push listings lower in search, and asks for one "even if the policy is "no returns"" (Etsy's search guide). A template applies the right profiles to every listing without you thinking about it. Our guide to building your first listing template goes field by field.

Step 3: Bring a design

Upload artwork, upload many designs at once into the Design Library, or generate one with AI by picking a look from the style library and filling in the blanks. Every design comes back print-ready at 12 inches and 300 DPI as a transparent PNG with an SVG alongside. You also get light and dark versions, so the design reads on white garments and on black.

Step 4: Pick mockups, choose live or draft, and run

Choose mockups from the built-in library of ready product photos, or from your own mockup library on paid plans. Etsy allows up to 20 photos and 2 videos per listing, per its listing guide, and smart mockups count toward the 20.

Then pick the template and choose how the listing reaches Etsy: live in your shop, or as an Etsy draft if you want to look first. It is one setting on the run. Paid plans can also schedule listings to go live over time, and our guide to live, draft or drip publishing compares the three.

What one run delivers

A run starts at 90 seconds for a listing with one mockup, and the time varies. Here is what comes out of it and the Etsy rule each part respects:

Part of the listingWhat the run doesEtsy's rule
Print filesPrint-ready PNG and SVG at 12 inches and 300 DPINot shown to buyers, used for production
PhotosRenders your chosen mockupsUp to 20 photos and 2 videos per listing
TitleWrites a buyer-intent title that says Custom or Personalized when the design isUp to 140 characters
TagsWrites all 13 tagsUp to 13 tags of up to 20 characters each
DescriptionWrites it from the design and template, with fabric claims matching the materialsSay clearly what you sell in the first sentence
AttributesFills Etsy listing attributes from the productFill out both attributes and tags
Variations and pricesApplies sizes, colours, prices and SKUs from the templatePrice, SKU and quantity can vary by option

Those rules come from Etsy's own guides on titles, tags, descriptions, attributes and variations. Our article on how Alomations writes titles, 13 tags and descriptions explains the copy side, including why a long-sleeve shirt is never called a tee and why sample names stay out of personalized listings.

Credits pay for runs. A full listing costs about 10 credits from an AI-generated design and about 4 from an uploaded or reused one. The Free plan gives 40 credits a month once your shop is connected, about 4 to 6 full listings, with no card. Starter is $49 a month for 500 credits, Standard $99.90 for 1,200 and Pro $169.99 for 2,500. Credits roll over up to 3x the monthly amount, and no plan caps the number of listings. The credits explainer has the details.

After the run, Etsy says a published listing "may take up to 48 hours" to appear in search results and categories (Etsy's listing guide). The listing also appears in the listings manager, and when it sells, the order arrives with the design and variant already matched.

Frequently asked questions

Is Alomations an official Etsy app?

It uses the official Etsy API, and you connect on Etsy's own sign-in screen. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.

Does a run publish straight to my shop?

If you choose live, yes: the listing goes live in your Etsy shop directly. Choose draft and it is saved in your shop as an Etsy draft, so you can look it over first.

Do I need my own product photos?

No. The built-in mockup library has ready product photos for the catalog products. Paid plans add your own mockup library, where you set the print area on your photos once.

What does one listing cost?

About 10 credits from an AI-generated design and about 4 from an uploaded or reused design. Etsy's own fees come on top: the $0.20 listing fee, and its transaction and payment processing fees when the item sells.

Connect your shop on the free plan, with no card needed, and run your first listing with the 40 credits it includes.
