You connect your Etsy shop to Alomations by signing in on Etsy's own sign-in screen and approving access, which takes under two minutes. Alomations uses the official Etsy API with OAuth, so you type your Etsy password on Etsy's page, not ours, and you can revoke the connection from Etsy whenever you want.
Connecting is the first real step in Alomations. It is what switches on the Free plan's 40 monthly credits, brings your existing listings into the listings manager and lets a run publish to your shop. This guide walks through the connection itself and the checks worth doing right after it, so your first listing run starts from the right settings.
Before you connect
You need an Etsy shop, not only a buyer account. If you are not sure which one you have, our guide to Etsy buyer and seller accounts explains the difference.
Have two things ready:
Your Etsy login and the device you use for two-factor authentication. Etsy asks every seller to set it up: "As a security measure, we require you to set up two-factor authentication" (Etsy shop setup help). Etsy may ask for the code while you sign in.
The right browser session. If your browser is signed in to a different Etsy account, such as a personal buyer account or a second shop, sign out of Etsy first, so you approve access for the shop you mean.
Connecting, step by step
Create your Alomations account. The Free plan needs no card.
Start the Etsy connection from Alomations. You are sent to Etsy.
Check the address bar. The sign-in page should be on etsy.com. That is the point of OAuth: Etsy handles your password, and Alomations never sees it.
Sign in to Etsy and enter your two-factor code if Etsy asks for it.
Review the access request on Etsy's screen and approve it.
Etsy sends you back to Alomations with your shop connected.
If the address bar shows anything other than etsy.com, stop and start the connection again from inside Alomations. The whole loop takes under two minutes. If you run more than one shop, connect Etsy shop by shop, signed in to the right Etsy account each time. Publishing to several shops from one run is covered in multi-shop publishing.
What the connection lets Alomations do
The connection goes through the official Etsy API, the route Etsy provides for apps that work with shops. Our explainer on what the Etsy API is covers how it works. Alomations is not affiliated with Etsy, and it is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.
Once your shop is connected, Alomations can:
Publish listings from a run, live in your shop or saved as Etsy drafts, whichever you pick for that run.
Show every connected shop's active and draft listings in the listings manager, with bulk edits for prices, tags, variations and publish schedules.
Use your Etsy shipping, return and processing profiles inside templates.
Pull in Etsy orders with the design and variant matched, and the buyer's personalization text and photos attached.
Let Aloma, the AI assistant, read your shop and answer questions about it, with each number showing when it was read.

What to check after connecting
A few minutes of checks now save a confusing first run.
| Check | Where to look | What it confirms |
|---|---|---|
| Shop name | Your connected shops | You approved access for the right shop |
| Active and draft listings | Listings manager | Your existing listings came through |
| Credits | Your credit balance | The Free plan's 40 monthly credits are active |
| Shipping, return and processing profiles | A new template | Templates can attach your Etsy profiles |
| Orders | Orders screen | Etsy orders arrive ready for fulfillment |
If you change a profile on Etsy after connecting, use "Refresh from Etsy" in the template so it picks up the change. If the listings manager shows the wrong shop's listings, you approved access while signed in to another Etsy account: sign out of Etsy, sign in to the right one and connect again. You can revoke access for the wrong shop from Etsy.
Your first run after connecting
With the shop connected, build a template once: product and category, price, sizes and colours, materials, SKUs and the Etsy profiles you just checked. Then bring a design, pick mockups and the template, and choose how the run publishes: live in your shop straight away, or as an Etsy draft if you prefer to look at it in Etsy first. It is one setting on the run. Our guide to your first listing follows that path in detail.
On the Free plan, a full listing costs about 10 credits from an AI-generated design and about 4 from an uploaded or reused design, and 40 credits come to about 4 to 6 full listings a month. The Free plan guide shows what fits.
Disconnecting and staying in control
The connection is revocable from Etsy at any time. Revoking it stops Alomations from reading or publishing to that shop. Listings that are already published stay in your Etsy shop, because they are ordinary Etsy listings, and you keep managing them on Etsy as usual. If you have questions about data and access, the FAQ covers the common ones.
Frequently asked questions
Does Alomations see my Etsy password?
No. You sign in on Etsy's own sign-in screen, and Etsy grants access to Alomations through OAuth. Your password stays with Etsy.
Can I connect more than one Etsy shop?
Yes. Connect each shop separately, signed in to its own Etsy account. The listings manager shows every connected shop's listings in one list, and multi-shop runs, which publish one run to several shops, open on paid plans.
Is connecting free?
Yes. The Free plan costs $0, needs no card and gives 40 credits a month once the shop is connected, with the listings manager and real orders included. Paid plans start at $49 a month, as shown on the pricing page.
What happens to my existing listings when I connect?
Nothing changes on Etsy. They appear in the listings manager, where you can score them, edit them in bulk, or adopt a listing you made by hand by connecting it to a design and a fulfillment product.
