Your first session in Alomations has five steps: create a free account, connect your Etsy shop on Etsy's own sign-in screen, build one listing template, bring a design, then pick mockups, choose live or draft and start the run. Connecting takes under two minutes, the template is the step that needs the most thought, and the run itself starts at 90 seconds for a listing with one mockup.
This walkthrough is for sellers opening Alomations for the first time. If you start on the Free plan, it gives you 40 credits a month once your Etsy shop is connected (about 4 to 6 full listings), with no card required. What to have ready before you sign up
Most of the first session is answering questions about your product and your shop. With these to hand, the template goes quickly.

The last row is easy to miss. Because your products are printed by a production partner, Etsy asks you to add that partner under Shop Manager > Settings > Partners you work with. Our guide to production partners on Etsy explains what to write there.
Step 1: Connect your Etsy shop
After you sign up, the first screen asks you to connect your shop. Alomations uses the official Etsy API: you are sent to Etsy's own sign-in screen, you approve access there (this is OAuth), and you come back connected, usually in under two minutes. You can revoke that access from Etsy at any time. Alomations is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by Etsy, Inc.

Step 2: Build your first template
A template holds everything about a listing that stays the same from one design to the next. You build it once and reuse it in every run. The template screen asks for:
Product and category: pick a catalog product, for example the Gildan 5000 (from $6.89) or the Bella+Canvas 3001 (from $8.40), prices read on October 17, 2026. Shipping is quoted separately.
Price: set your selling price, and arrange prices across sizes so larger sizes can cost more.
Sizes and colours: choose the ones this listing offers. On paid plans you can save a set as a variation profile and reuse it in every template.
Materials and SKUs: the materials feed the listing copy, so a fabric claim in the description matches the product.
Shipping, return and processing profiles: chosen from your Etsy shop. If you change one in Shop Manager later, "Refresh from Etsy" pulls the update in.

Step 3: Bring a design
You can upload your own artwork or generate a design with AI. The Free plan includes up to 4 AI images a month. Either way, the design comes back print-ready: a transparent PNG at 12 inches and 300 DPI (3,600 pixels on the long side) with an SVG alongside, plus light and dark versions so it reads on white garments and on black. Designs are kept in the Design Library, with folders, search and source filters.
Credits matter at this step. A full listing costs about 10 credits from an AI-generated design and about 4 from an uploaded or reused design, so uploading your own artwork stretches the Free plan further.
Step 4: Pick mockups, choose live or draft, and start
Choose the product photos your listing will show. The built-in mockup library has ready product photos for the catalog products, so you can list without owning a photo, and smart mockups render your design onto them with real fabric folds, shading and light, free to use. Etsy allows up to 20 photos and 2 videos per listing, and smart mockups count toward the 20.
Then choose how the listing publishes: live in your Etsy shop directly, or as an Etsy draft if you would like to look at your first listing before shoppers see it. It is one setting on the run, explained in live, draft or drip. Start the run.
What the run does, and what to check afterwards
The run prepares the print-ready files, renders the mockups, writes a buyer-intent title within Etsy's 140 characters, all 13 tags and a description, applies your template and publishes to Etsy, live or as a draft. It starts at 90 seconds for a listing with one mockup, and more mockups take longer.
A few accuracy rules are built in. Titles say Custom or Personalized when the design is personalized, sample names stay out of the copy, fabric claims match the template's materials, a long-sleeve shirt is never called a "tee", and Etsy listing attributes are filled from the product.
When it finishes, open the listing on Etsy and read it as a buyer would. A new listing may take up to 48 hours to appear in Etsy search, so do not judge it in the first hour. The listings manager, included on every plan, gives each live listing a score from ten checks, each with its fix attached. And when the first order comes in, it arrives with the design and variant already matched, ready to send to a production partner from the orders screen, on Free as well.
