Alomations credits are what you spend to create listings: a full listing costs about 10 credits when the design is AI-generated and about 4 when you upload or reuse a design. Unused plan credits roll over up to three times your monthly amount, and credit top-up packs never expire.
This page is for sellers choosing a plan, or checking why their balance moved. Once you know what a listing costs in credits, you can plan a month of work before it starts. Every figure below matches our pricing page.
What a credit pays for
Credits pay for the work inside a listing run. One full listing covers the print-ready artwork, the rendered mockups, a buyer-intent title within Etsy's 140 characters, all 13 tags, a description, your template's variations and prices, and the publish to Etsy, live or as a draft. Our explainer on how a listing run works walks through each step.
Some things cost no credits at all. Smart mockups are free to use, the first Update SEO rewrite of each live listing is free, and the listings manager, real orders and fulfillment are included on every plan, Free too.
Fulfillment has its own cost, separate from credits: when you fulfill an order through a production partner, the orders screen shows item cost and shipping separately before you pay from your balance.
Cost per listing: AI design or your own design
The design is the biggest variable in what a listing costs:
About 10 credits for a full listing from an AI-generated design, since the artwork is created as part of the work.
About 4 credits for a full listing from a design you upload, or one already in your Design Library that you reuse.
Both figures are approximate, which is why our plans show listing ranges rather than exact counts. Reuse is where credits stretch furthest. A design you made once can go onto a tee, a sweatshirt and a mug as separate listings at the reused-design rate, and Bulk Automate turns each selected design into its own listing, live, as drafts or dripped a few a day. See Bulk Automate for how that works.
Credits by plan
Each plan gives a monthly credit amount. The listing counts below are the ranges on our pricing page.
| Plan | Price per month | Credits per month | About how many full listings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 40, once your Etsy shop is connected | 4 to 6 |
| Starter | $49 | 500 | 50 to 125 |
| Standard | $99.90 | 1,200 | 120 to 300 |
| Pro | $169.99 | 2,500 | 250 to 625 |
On the paid plans, the low end of each range is every listing from an AI design and the high end is every listing from an uploaded or reused design. The Free plan also includes up to 4 AI images a month and needs no card.
No plan caps the number of listings, so credits are the only limit. Yearly billing works out as pay 10 months, get 12. Our guide to choosing a plan compares them side by side, and the Free plan guide shows what 40 credits cover.
Rollover: what happens to unused credits
Plan credits you do not use roll over into the next month, up to three times your monthly amount. That ceiling is 1,500 credits on Starter, 3,600 on Standard and 7,500 on Pro. A quiet month is therefore not wasted: the credits wait for your busy season, which matters for a shop that does most of its listing work before the holidays.
Top-up packs work differently. They never expire, they are usable while you are subscribed, and they are counted separately from plan credits, so you can always see which bucket a credit came from. Every credit is itemised, so a balance that moved has a line explaining why.
One more case: when Aloma, the AI assistant, makes listings for you, it shows the plan and its credit cost first and can make two samples before the rest. Anything it does not make returns to your balance. See Aloma collections for the full flow.
Credits are not Etsy fees
Credits pay Alomations, not Etsy. Etsy charges its own fees as usual: a listing fee of "$0.20 per listing", a transaction fee of "6.5% of the total order amount" when the item sells (Etsy fees), and payment processing that depends on the country of your bank account, for example 3% + $0.25 in the United States and 6.5% + 14 TRY in Türkiye (Etsy payment processing fees). Alomations publishes through the official Etsy API and is not affiliated with Etsy, so those fees go to Etsy and appear on your Etsy bill.
When you budget a listing, add both: the credits for the run and Etsy's listing fee. On paid plans, the profit view then shows what you kept after Etsy fees and product cost on fulfilled orders, so you can compare what a listing cost with what it earned.
Planning a month of credits
Say you are on Starter with 500 credits and plan a collection of 20 new designs:
Listing each new design once from AI costs about 20 x 10 = 200 credits.
Putting each of those designs on a second product costs about 20 x 4 = 80 credits.
That is about 280 credits for 40 listings, leaving about 220 to roll over or to spend on designs you already own.
Three habits keep credit spend predictable: generate fewer, stronger AI designs and reuse them across products, upload artwork you already own instead of generating something similar, and ask Aloma for samples first so you see the look before the whole collection is made.
