Choosing a plan: Free, Starter, Standard or Pro

Free, Starter, Standard or Pro: what each Alomations plan includes, how far its credits go in listings, and how to pick the one that fits the size of your Etsy shop.

Start on Free if you want to try Alomations or your shop adds only a few listings a month, and move to a paid plan when you need the Design Editor, your own mockups, multi-shop runs or scheduled publishing. Starter, Standard and Pro all open those tools, and the main difference between them is how many credits they include, so the choice comes down to how many listings you make in a normal month.

This guide is for sellers comparing the plans on our pricing page and wondering which one matches their shop. We will go through what each plan includes, how credits turn into listings, and the signs that it is time to move up or to stay where you are.

The four plans at a glance

How credits turn into listings

A full listing costs about 10 credits when the design is AI-generated and about 4 when you upload a design or reuse one you already have. That is why each paid plan shows a range: the low end assumes every listing starts from a new AI design, and the high end assumes you bring your own artwork. Starter's 500 credits, for example, cover about 50 listings from AI designs or about 125 from uploaded ones, and a mix of the two lands in between.

A quick worked example: say you publish 60 listings a month, half from AI designs and half from your own uploads. That is about 30 × 10 + 30 × 4 = 420 credits, which fits inside Starter's 500 with some left over to roll forward.

A few rules make credits easier to plan:

  • Plan credits roll over up to 3x the monthly amount, so a quiet month is not wasted.

  • No plan caps the number of listings, so the credits you hold set the pace.

  • Credit top-up packs never expire and can be used while you are subscribed, which helps before a busy season.

  • The first SEO update of each live listing is free.

Free: try the whole run, then keep it for orders

The Free plan gives you 40 credits a month once your Etsy shop is connected, which is enough for about 4 to 6 full listings, with up to 4 AI images a month. No card is needed. It is not a demo: real orders and the listings manager are included, so on Free you can fulfill orders through production partners and manage every active and draft listing in your shop from one list.

Free suits three kinds of seller. The first is testing whether listing runs fit their workflow. The second runs a new shop that publishes a few listings a month. The third makes listings elsewhere but wants orders to arrive resolved and fulfillment in one place, which the listings manager supports by letting you connect a hand-made listing to a design and a fulfillment product. More in what you can do with 40 credits a month.

What every paid plan adds

Paid plans open the tools that matter once listing becomes a routine:

  • Design Editor: layers, text, background removal, recolouring, your own uploaded fonts and design versions. See a tour of the Design Editor.

  • Your own mockup library: upload your own photos, set the print area once and reuse them in every run.

  • Multi-shop runs: one run to several connected shops, each with its own template, mockups and shop section. See multi-shop publishing.

  • Scheduled publishing: queue listings to go live over time instead of all at once.

  • Saved variation profiles, mockup preview, run history, the profit view and the shop report.

If one of these is the reason you are looking at plans, Starter is the first plan that includes it.

Starter, Standard or Pro: choosing by volume

Once you know you need a paid plan, count your listings. Look at how many you published last month, or plan to publish in a normal month, and how many of them start from AI-generated designs.

  • Starter fits a shop publishing up to about 50 listings a month from AI designs, or more when most of the artwork is uploaded.

  • Standard fits a shop that publishes several listings on most days, or a seller running the same designs into two or more shops.

  • Pro fits a large catalogue, seasonal pushes measured in hundreds of listings, or Bulk Automate runs that turn many selected designs into listings at once.

Do not buy for your busiest month. Rollover covers uneven months and top-up packs cover a spike, so you can size the plan for a normal month and add a pack before the fourth quarter rather than paying for peak volume all year.

Moving between plans

Start lower and move up when your balance runs short more than once. Signs that it is time: you hold designs back because credits ran out, you want to publish to a second shop, or you want listings to go live on a schedule instead of in one batch. Signs that you can stay: your rolled-over balance keeps growing, or most of your listings come from uploaded designs at about 4 credits each.

Whatever plan you are on, the listing run itself is the same. You connect your shop through the official Etsy API, build a template once, bring a design, pick mockups, and choose whether the run publishes live or saves Etsy drafts. The plan decides how many runs your credits cover and which extra tools sit around them.
