The shop report in Alomations is a scored health check of your whole Etsy shop: it gives the shop a score and turns what it finds into an action plan you can download as a PDF. Read the plan before the number, fix the shop-wide items first, then move on to the individual listings the plan points to.
Most sellers who go looking for an Etsy shop analyzer already sense that something is off. Views are flat, a handful of listings carry the shop, or the catalogue grew faster than anyone could review it. A score on its own fixes none of that. This article explains what the shop report looks at, how to turn its action plan into a week of work, and how to share the PDF with the people who help you run the shop. The shop report is part of the paid plans and reads the shop you connected through the official Etsy API.
What a shop health check should look at
Etsy is unusually direct about which search factors belong to you. Its help center says "Sellers control the most important factors in Etsy Search placement" and names tags and titles, attributes, listing quality and customer service (Etsy on search placement). That is the frame to read any Etsy shop analyzer with, ours included: a finding is only useful if it points to something you can change. For a longer walk through each factor, see Etsy search ranking factors sellers can control.
Some of those factors live at shop level. Etsy's Search Visibility guidance warns that "If your shop is not complete, your listings' search visibility may be impacted" and lists customer-service checks: timely replies to buyer messages, shipping on time with tracking, a positive review score and avoiding a high number of cases (Etsy Search Visibility page). Others live inside each listing. The same page checks for a clear, well-lit primary photo that shows one finished product, the most specific category possible and a return policy.
The shop report scores the shop as a whole, which makes it the place to see the shop-level picture before you open any single listing. When a finding comes down to particular listings, the listing score in the listings manager is the tool for the detail.
Shop report, listing score and Etsy's own checks
Each tool answers a different question:
| Tool | What it looks at | What you get | Where you find it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shop report (Alomations) | Your shop as a whole | A health score, an action plan and a PDF | Paid plans |
| Listing score (Alomations) | One live listing | Ten checks, each with the fix attached | Listings manager, every plan |
| Aloma (Alomations) | Questions you ask about your shop | Answers that say when each number was read | Top bar and the Cmd+K palette |
| Etsy Search Visibility page | Listing and customer-service checks Etsy names | Etsy's own view of what can hold listings back | Inside Etsy |
They do not compete. The report tells you where to spend the week. The listing score tells you what is missing from one listing. Aloma answers a specific follow-up, such as which listings score under 70 or how many drafts are waiting. Etsy's page is the source for what Etsy itself checks.
How to read the score
A score compresses many checks into one number, which makes it good at one job: showing whether the shop is getting healthier over time. It is not a forecast. No tool can promise sales or rankings, and Etsy notes that search results differ from shopper to shopper (Etsy on search placement).
Compare the score with your own shop's history rather than with other shops, whose size and problems differ from yours.
Give changes time before you judge them. Etsy says a newly published listing may take up to 48 hours to appear in search results and categories (Etsy's listing guide), and that changes "can take up to one day to reflect in search" (Etsy's Search Visibility announcement).
How to work through the action plan
The action plan is where the report earns its place. Work through it in this order, which puts fixes that reach every listing ahead of fixes that reach one:
Shop-wide settings first. Etsy says a listing can sit lower without a return policy, even when the policy you set is "no returns", and that a shipping price that is too high can push US sellers' listings down (Etsy on search placement). For US listings, Etsy states that domestic shipping prices lower than $6 "will be prioritized in search" (Etsy Search Visibility page). One profile fix reaches every listing that uses that profile.
Then the listings that already get views. A listing people see but rarely buy has a problem you can find on the page itself. Etsy Stats explained shows where to read views and visits.
Batch the repeat fixes. When the same change applies to many listings (prices, tags, variations), make it once in bulk instead of listing by listing.
Customer-service habits. Reply times, on-time shipping with tracking and cases are part of Etsy's own checks, and they are habits rather than settings.
Decide what to leave alone. Not every item needs action this week. A listing you plan to deactivate does not need new tags.
Keep a short log next to the plan: what you changed and on which date. Without it, a later change in the score is impossible to explain.
Sharing the report as a PDF
The PDF exists so the report can leave the app. The people it usually goes to:
A business partner or family member who helps run the shop and wants the picture without logging in anywhere.
A designer or assistant you hire for listing work, who needs the list of fixes but not access to your Etsy account.
A mentor or a seller you trust, for a second opinion on what to fix first.
Treat it as a business document. It describes your shop, so share it with the people you would show your Shop Manager to. Keep each copy with its date, and you will have a record of where the shop stood before each round of changes.
How the report fits with the rest of Alomations
The shop report tells you where to look. The fixes happen in the tools around it:
The listing score runs ten checks on a live listing and attaches the fix to each one.
Update SEO rewrites the title, tags and description of a live listing, and the first rewrite per listing is free. You can also swap the mockups of a live listing.
The listings manager edits prices (by percent or to an exact amount), tags (up to 13), variations and publish schedules in bulk, and can deactivate listings in bulk.
Aloma, the AI assistant, answers follow-up questions about your shop and says when each number was read.
The listings manager and the listing score are on every plan, Free included. The shop report opens with a paid plan, as do the profit view and run history. The features page describes the rest.
Frequently asked questions
Which shop does the report read?
The Etsy shop you connected to Alomations through the official Etsy API. You approve that connection on Etsy's own sign-in screen, and you can revoke it from Etsy at any time.
Which plans include the shop report?
The paid plans: Starter, Standard and Pro. The Free plan includes the listings manager and the listing score, so you can start fixing individual listings before you upgrade.
Will a higher score bring more sales?
Nobody can promise that. Etsy calls listing quality "an important factor in getting found in Etsy search" (Etsy on search placement), and the report helps you improve the parts you control, but sales also depend on demand, price and the design itself.
How is the shop report different from the listing score?
The listing score looks at one live listing through ten checks. The shop report looks at the shop as a whole and adds an action plan and a PDF you can share.
Connect your shop on the free plan to start with the listings manager and listing scores, and add the shop report when you move to a paid plan.
