Etsy's Shop Manager lets you tick several listings and apply one change to all of them, which suits shop-wide jobs such as adding or removing a word in titles, adding or deleting one tag, raising or lowering prices, moving listings into a section, and renewing or deactivating in one go. It runs out when the change differs from listing to listing or lives inside variations: a tag set written for each buyer, a new price for some sizes only, or a new colour option across fifty listings still means opening listings one at a time.
This matters once a print on demand shop passes a few dozen listings. A cost change from your production partner, a new colour on a blank, or a seasonal word you want out of every title can turn into an afternoon of clicking if you reach for the wrong tool.
Etsy changes Shop Manager menus from time to time, so treat the lists below as a guide and check your own editing options before a large change.
What Etsy's bulk editing handles well
On the Listings page in Shop Manager, you select listings with checkboxes and open the editing options for the selection. At the time of writing, the options cover jobs like these, and they work best when every selected listing gets exactly the same change:
Titles: add the same word to the start or end of many titles, or remove a word from all of them. Every title still has to fit Etsy's limit of 140 characters (Etsy Help: creating a listing).
Tags: add one tag to many listings, or delete one tag from all of them.
Prices: raise or lower the price of the selected listings in one step.
Sections: move a group of listings into one shop section.
Status: renew, deactivate or delete several listings at once.
Renewing in bulk is not free. Etsy's listing fee is $0.20 per listing, and a listing expires after 4 months (Etsy Help: fees), so renewing a hundred listings is a real cost, not a tidy-up.
Profiles: the bulk edit sellers forget
Some of the most useful bulk changes on Etsy happen in profiles, not on the Listings page.
A processing profile holds a processing time, and Etsy notes that editing a profile updates every listing linked to it (Etsy Help: processing times). If your partner's production time changes before the holidays, one profile edit reaches every linked listing.
Shipping works the same way. Etsy says: "To reuse the same shipping settings on multiple items, apply a shipping profile", and "A listing can only be connected to one shipping profile" (Etsy Help: shipping profiles). Build one profile per product type, connect each listing to the right one, and change a rate in one place. Our guide to shipping profiles for print on demand products covers how to split them.
Where sellers hit the limits
Tag sets that should differ per listing
A bulk tag edit adds or removes the same tag everywhere. That suits a shared term, not a whole tag set. Etsy allows up to 13 tags per listing, each up to 20 characters, and recommends "a diverse array of tags" (Etsy Help: tags). A listing that already uses all 13 has no room for another, so adding a tag in bulk means freeing a slot on each listing first, and which tag to drop is a decision per listing.
Prices that vary by size or colour
Print on demand listings often charge more for larger sizes, because the blank costs more. On Etsy, price can vary by variation when you switch that on, and you can set unique prices, SKUs and quantities for up to 400 option combinations (Etsy Help: variations). Those prices live on the combinations, not on one price field. A bulk price edit applies one change to the whole selection, so when only some sizes need a new price, for example because the larger sizes of a blank went up, you set those prices inside each listing. Even for a shop-wide change, test one listing first and check every size.
Sellers outside the US have one more layer: they can set different prices for domestic orders, US orders and all other countries, but listings with more than 400 variation options cannot use domestic and global pricing (Etsy Help: domestic and global pricing).
The variation options themselves
Adding a colour your blank now comes in, renaming a size, or removing a colour your partner no longer stocks means opening each listing's variations. Listings can have up to 3 variation types, with up to 2,500 combinations for three types and 4,900 for one or two (Etsy Help: variations), so a single listing can hold a lot to edit. For a refresher, see what a variation is on Etsy.
Materials and second shops
Older guides mention editing materials in bulk. Etsy removed the Materials tag field in March 2026, and materials now exist only as an attribute (Etsy Help: what's new). And Shop Manager edits the shop you are signed into, so a seller with two shops repeats every bulk change.

Before you run a large bulk change
Keep a record of the old titles, tags and prices, for example in a spreadsheet, because a bulk edit is hard to reverse.
Try the change on two or three listings and look at them as a buyer would.
Titles no longer move links: "Listing URLs now remain fixed after a listing is first published" (Etsy Help: what's new).
Give search a day. Etsy says changes "can take up to one day to reflect in search" (Etsy announcement). Our article on whether editing a listing resets its ranking covers what else to expect.
How Alomations covers the gaps
The listings manager in Alomations is open on every plan, Free included. It shows every connected shop's active and draft listings in one list, with filters and sorting across the whole shop. From that list you can bulk edit prices by a percentage or to an exact amount, edit tags up to 13, change variations, set a publish schedule and bulk deactivate. A listing can also be copied to another connected shop as a draft. The details are in bulk editing prices and tags with the listings manager, and the listings manager overview shows the rest of the screen.
Etsy's own tools stay the right place for profile changes and one-off fixes. The listings manager is for the edits that repeat across many listings.
Frequently asked questions
Does bulk editing hurt my Etsy ranking?
The Etsy help pages on search describe it in terms of relevance and listing quality, and none of them single out bulk edits. Changes can take up to one day to show in search, so judge results after that.
Can I bulk edit variations on Etsy?
Not in the way you can bulk edit titles and tags. Variation options and the prices attached to them are edited inside each listing.
Does changing a title change the listing's URL?
No. Since March 2026, listing URLs stay fixed after a listing is first published.
Can I undo a bulk edit?
Plan as if you cannot: keep a record of the old values and test on a few listings first.
