The Alomations listings manager lets you select many Etsy listings at once and change their prices by a percentage or to an exact amount, edit their tags up to Etsy's limit of 13, or deactivate them together. It works across every shop you have connected, and it is included on every plan, Free included.
This is for sellers whose shop has outgrown editing listings one at a time in Etsy's listing form. A blank that costs more, a seasonal tag swap or a clean-up after a holiday can touch dozens of listings at once. The bulk tools turn that into one selection and one edit, and the rest of this guide covers how to use each one without creating new problems.
Start with the right selection
The listings manager shows every connected shop's active and draft listings in one list, with filters and sort that work across the whole shop. Listings you made by hand on Etsy sit in the same list as listings made in a listing run, so a bulk edit is not limited to what Alomations created.
The selection is where most bulk mistakes happen. Narrow the list until it holds only the listings you mean to change, then select. A price rise meant for sweatshirts should not reach your mugs, and a Christmas tag should not land on a Halloween design. Our overview of the listings manager shows the list itself in more detail.
Changing prices: percentage or exact
The listings manager offers two ways to change prices in bulk, and each suits a different job.
Percentage changes
A percentage moves every selected listing by the same share. That suits cost changes that hit a whole product line: if your blanks and shipping rise, a percentage keeps the relationship between your cheaper and pricier listings intact. Look at a few resulting prices before you move on. A percentage applied to an uneven price gives an uneven result, and you may want a cleaner number on your best sellers.
Exact prices
An exact price puts every selected listing on the same number. That suits a product group that should share one price point, such as all of your standard tees. Prices that differ by size or colour live in a listing's variations, and the listings manager has a separate bulk edit for variations as well.
Do the fee math first
A price change also changes what Etsy takes. Etsy's transaction fee is 6.5% of the total order amount, and payment processing is a set rate plus a percent that depends on the country of your bank account, for example 3% + 0.25 USD in the United States and 6.5% + 14 TRY in Türkiye. So a $1 price rise adds 6.5 cents to the transaction fee alone. Our guide to pricing print on demand products on Etsy walks through the full margin calculation.
A price change is not a sale
A bulk price edit changes the list price itself. If what you want is a temporary discount that buyers can see, use Etsy's own sales tool, which lets you offer any percentage off between 5% and 75% of the list price. Lowering every price by hand hides the discount from buyers and is easy to forget to undo. More on this in running sales on Etsy without losing money.
Editing tags in bulk, up to 13
Etsy allows up to 13 tags per listing, and each tag can contain up to 20 characters. Tags can only include letters, numbers and spaces, and apostrophes and hyphens are allowed inside a tag but cannot start one. Etsy also advises using a diverse array of tags and says tags are great for buyer-minded phrases such as "gift for her". Our guide to all 13 Etsy tags covers how to fill each slot.
Bulk tag edits make sense when the same tag is true for every listing in the selection:
Seasonal swaps: gift and holiday phrases added to evergreen listings before the season, and taken off afterwards.
Shared mistakes: a misspelled tag repeated across a batch of listings.
Empty slots: listings that went live with fewer than 13 tags.
Recipient and occasion tags: phrases such as "nurse gift" that fit a whole product group.
Tags that describe one specific design are better handled per listing. For those, the listings manager's Update SEO rewrites the title, tags and description of a live listing, and the first rewrite per listing is free.
After any tag change, give Etsy time. In its announcement of the Search Visibility page, Etsy says changes can take up to one day to reflect in search.
Deactivating listings in bulk
Bulk deactivation takes a group of listings out of your shop in one step. Typical reasons are the end of a season (Halloween designs after October 31), a blank or colour you no longer offer, or designs you have decided not to sell any more. A deactivated listing is not deleted, so a seasonal design can come back when its time comes round again.
Deactivate rather than leave a listing live when you cannot fulfill it as described. A buyer who orders a colour that no longer exists turns into a cancellation and a disappointed customer, which is a worse outcome than a listing sitting inactive.
Choosing the right bulk edit
| Edit | Use it when | Check before applying |
|---|---|---|
| Percentage price change | Costs changed across a product line | A few resulting prices and your margin after fees |
| Exact price | A group should sell at one price point | That every selected listing belongs at that price |
| Tags, up to 13 | A tag is true for every selected listing | 20 characters at most, letters, numbers and spaces |
| Variations | Sizes or colours change across a product | Which listings use that product |
| Publish schedule | Drafts should go live over time | That the dates fit the season |
| Deactivate | A season ended or a product stopped | That nothing in the selection should stay live |
Whatever the edit, start small. Apply it to a handful of listings, open one of them on Etsy to confirm the result, then run the rest.
What else the listings manager does
Bulk edits sit next to the tools for single listings, all in the same list:
Copy to another shop: copy a listing to another connected shop as a draft.
Listing score: a score for a live listing from ten checks, each with the fix attached.
Update SEO and mockups: rewrite a live listing's title, tags and description, or swap its mockups.
Adopt a listing: connect a listing made by hand to a design and a fulfillment product, so its orders arrive resolved.
If you are unsure whether edits affect how a listing ranks, our article on whether editing an Etsy listing resets its ranking covers what Etsy has and has not said. The full feature list is on the features page.
Frequently asked questions
Is the listings manager included in the Free plan?
Yes. The listings manager, including bulk edits, is open on every plan, Free included.
Can I bulk edit listings I made by hand on Etsy?
Yes. The list shows every connected shop's active and draft listings, wherever they were made. Adopting a hand-made listing additionally connects it to a design and a fulfillment product.
How many tags can a bulk tag edit give a listing?
Up to 13, which is Etsy's limit per listing. Each tag still has to fit Etsy's 20-character limit.
Should I lower prices in bulk for a holiday sale?
Usually not. Etsy's sales tool shows buyers the discount for the dates you set, while a bulk price edit changes the list price until you change it back.
Connect your shop and try bulk edits on the Alomations free plan, where the listings manager is included.
